The short version
Your assessment is calculated on your own device — the scoring never runs on our servers. But to see your report you enter your name, email and phone, and when you do, those details and a copy of your answers are saved on our server so a qualified immigration consultant can review your report and follow up with you. If you don't want that, don't enter your contact details. We still run no analytics, set no tracking cookies, and sell your information to no one.
1. Information you enter into the assessment
Depending on your goal, the questionnaire asks about your age, family situation, education, work history, language ability, job offers and family ties; an approximate net-worth band and income if you want the investment and after-tax figures; or, for a short-stay visa, details of your trip such as funds, ties to home and travel history. The scoring happens entirely on your device, and your answers are also saved in your browser so you can resume. If you provide contact details and continue (see section 2), a copy of those answers is sent to our server as well. Money figures are shown in your chosen home currency purely for display.
2. Details we save on our server
To reach your report you provide your name, email and phone number. When you continue past that first step, we save those details on our server together with a short summary of your answers, and — once your report is generated — the full set of answers behind it, so an immigration consultant can review your case and contact you. Clicking “request a review” on the report simply flags that you'd like to be called; it saves the same record with your optional note. We store one record per person. The record also notes the IP address the form was sent from and the approximate location (city and country) derived from it, so the consultant knows your likely region and time zone. This data is held in a file outside the public web area, readable only with an administrator password, and is used only to contact you and discuss your options — never sold or shared with third parties. We keep it until you ask us to delete it (see section 5).
3. Cookies and tracking
We use standard marketing and analytics tags — Google Analytics and Tag Manager, and the Meta and Quora advertising pixels — to understand how the site is found and used. These set their own cookies and process technical data such as your IP address under their providers' privacy policies. They receive standard page analytics only: your assessment answers are never sent to them. Your draft answers are kept in your browser's local storage (not cookies) and clear when you start a new assessment. Typefaces are served from our own hosting, so no font provider sees your visit. Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) processes standard technical server logs — such as IP address and request time — as any web host does, for security and delivery, under its own privacy policy.
4. Links to official sources
Reports link to pages published by government immigration authorities so you can verify every rule we apply. Following those links takes you to sites governed by their own privacy policies; we recommend reviewing them.
5. Your rights
The draft answers held in your browser are under your direct control — starting or refreshing the assessment clears them, as does clearing your browser data. For the record saved on our server (your contact details and answers, described in section 2), you may ask us at any time to access it, correct it, or delete it permanently by emailing web@abhinav.com. If you never entered contact details, we hold nothing about you on our server.
6. Children
Horizon is intended for people aged 16 and over, reflecting the minimum ages of the immigration programs assessed. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example, when live consultation routing or optional accounts are introduced — this policy will be updated before those features go live, with the effective date shown at the top of this page.
